Brother in Arms & Esprit

 

Brother in Arms series of lacquer paintings and Esprit hand-drawing stop motion animation. Australian War Memorial commission a bequest of an artwork by the retired major John Milton Gillespie, a Vietnam veteran, and an immigration consultant was commissioned by the Australian War Memorial. This artwork was created and explores the wartime experience of Vietnamese–Australians and its impact on veterans today.
